In the winter of 1980 a child of the Kytherian diaspora made her first pilgrimage to the island of her parents' birth with her two mid-teen sons in tow. All who knew Jim "Tsigli" Cominos know he had a great zest for life. He was born in Potamos Kythera in May 1923. When war came to Kythera he joined the partizans fighting against the enemies and even took part in capturing two German soldiers on Kythera. In the late 1940s migrated to Sydney.
