the small village of trifyllianika, the village commenced after the destruction and sacking of the fortress of paliochora, the village dates back to early 1600's , trifyllianika is ideally situated close to potamos being only 2 klms away .. has wonderful views of mainland greece , mountains of agia moni... my home village !!

classical kytherian small village of trifyllianika ,, settled in the late 1600s from mainly survivors form the destruction of pailchora ... the village is walking distance from potamos.. and the end of the road past the village is a small winding track to the fields and somtimes running spring .. where in times gone by the local village people would have and water their crops and the women would wash all clothes and also take drinking water back to their ...

as you come to the end of the road at trifyllianika there is a small winding track that takes you down to the vrissi [ spring ] of trifyllianika in years gone by water ran from this vrissi , the women folk of the village would wash clothes, also the villagers had small paddocks for cultivating of the vegetables and fruit , unfortunately now its all bare and overgrown with grass and weeds , but some village folk still maintain their plots and in this case peter manea collects lovely oranges and lemons ...

perfect holiday house. !! cheaper than hotels... once the centre of a village, the abundant water from the natural spring just below trifyllianika watered crops for many years, and the women of the village would wash clothes and collect water for house use, its a great shame that the vresse of trifyllianika now no longer has water runnung from the tap due to overgrown roots blocking the water flow....
