Anastasios (Ernest) Combes/Coombes was born in c1901 in Katsoulianika, Kythera. He was the 2nd of 4 brothers who came to Australia. He married Spiridoula (Lily) on 31st December, 1923 in Kythera. They came out to Australia on the ship, the "Largs Bay", in August 1924. He worked at Tenterfield, NSW, for his brother George Combes for a few years before moving to Sydney. Anastasios (Ernest) and Spiridoula (Lily) had 3 children - George, Alexandra and Maria (Mary). Maria (Mary) is my mother.
