Spiridoula (Lily) Combes/Coombes was born on 22nd January, c1900 in Kythera. She married Anastasios (Ernest) Combes/Coombes on 31st December, 1923. They came to Australia on the "Largs Bay", arriving in August 1924. Spiridoula (Lily) and Anastasios (Ernest) went to Tenterfield, NSW where they worked for Anastasios' brother, George Combes, for a few years. This photo was taken, we believe when she was still in Kythera. Spiridoula (Lily) and Anastasios(Ernest)had 3 children: George, Alexandra and Maria (Mary). Maria (Mary) is my mother.
Spiridoula died in 1973 in Sydney.
