Eleni Petraki, 2003 PhD, University of Queensland. Here is the beginning of an abstract you can read at http://wwwmcc.murdoch.edu.au/aiem/petrakidiss.html This thesis seeks to investigate the construction of relationships and identities within three generations of Greek-Australian women through their narrated stories and other aspects of their interaction. Ethnomethodology, conversation analysis and membership categorisation analysis were selected as perspectives ideally suited to the analytic task of unveiling the situated and negotiated nature of intergenerational relationships and identities.
