Philip and Peter Chlentzos were two of the four sons of Diamantis Haralambos Chlentzos and Yiannoula Koulentianos who enlisted in WW2. Philip died in combat on July 27, 1944, from injuries sustained during the invasion of Omaha Beach in France. Philip's letters to his brother have just been rediscovered. I never met my Uncle Phil, but through these letters I have gotten to know him.
