Description:
From 1963 to 1965, the British School at Athens and the University of Pennsylvania conducted excavations around Paliopoli. The studies were focused on the Minoan colony at Kastri, but included antiquities of earlier and later periods as well. This book is a detailed account of those studies, including maps of the tombs and surrounding areas, and line drawings and photographs of the artifacts they discovered.
