We will achieve (this) and (then) we will dance

Another common saying was "we will achieve (this) and (then) we will dance".

"Tha to kanoume ke tha horepsoume."

Used in the context of someone questioning a person(s)/group(s) ability to achieve a particularly difficult task - "Do you really think we can actually achieve this?"

Used as a motivating tool - the answer would be

"Tha to kanoume ke tha horepsoume."

Many cyclical (difficult) achievements - such as the end of the wheat or wine harvest were celebrated by a large community dance. These glendi are still in existence today - instance the Mitata Wine Festival, and the Portakalia Festival in Karavas.
