Whoever doesn't speak..... they bury them.

Another common saying was "He/she who doesn't speak, they bury him/her".

"Opios then mila
...tou thavoune."

Used as a means of ensuring that people did not become "socially dead" - by not speaking up/out. Encouraging people to speak.

Similar to "speak now - or forever hold your peace" - but more powerful.

"Opios then mila
...tou thavoune."

"Whoever doesn't speak
...they bury them."
