My uncle Philip Chlentzos, was the son of Diamantis Haralambos Chlentzos and Yanoula Koulentianou. He was born in 1916 in Oakland, California, and died in combat on July 27, 1944 in France. Philip was awarded the Purple Heart medal for injuries sustained in the French Invasion on D-day.
