The house is the perfect holiday OR permanent house for anyone who likes a wonderful view from a comfortable house with an established garden on a beautiful island. The town of Karavas with its famous backery is only 5 minutes drive away, as is the "city" of Potamos with supermarkets, cafés and Sunday markets. And the beautiful beaches of Agia Pelagia and Platia Ammos are a 12 minute drive .

On the 1st of March 2012, Nicholas P. Careedy (Karydis) born in the village of Mylopotamos, celebrated his 100th birthday at a large gathering of two hundred and twenty five invited guests. The luncheon was held at the Wavell Heights Bowls Club in Brisbane, Queensland where Nick has been a member for the past 46 years.
