Symbolic Flag Exchange - heralding a new enosis (union) between..,
...the Kytherian Association of Queensland Inc & the Kytherian Association of Australia (ostensibly the Kytherian Association of NSW).
The ceremony was conducted in the presence of the Governor of Queensland, Ms Quentin Bryce, AC; who is the ultimate font of authority for the flag of the state of Queensland. The flag was inducted as an offical emblem under the "Royal Decree", 130 years ago, in 1876.
The flag exchange ceremony was conducted between, Mr Peter Samios, President of the Kytherian Association of Queensland Inc. & the President of the Kytherian Association of Australia (ostensibly of NSW), Dr Victor Kepreotis.
The symbolic exchange of flags represented the call for a new unity between the two organisations, a unity that has never been formalised previously, nor ever acted upon pragmatically.
What Kytherians have joined together - let no man or woman - rend asunder.
May this enosis live perpetually.
