The Governor of Queensland, Ms Quentin Bryce, AC...

...clutching the Greeks in Queensland to her heart, and making author, Denis Conomos laugh.

The book was "23 years in the making".

Denis was so very proud when he presented the book to the Governor!

The Governor's husband, Mr Michael Bryce, AM, looks on proudly as well. (Right, seated).

Michael is a highly accomplished architect and designer. He also shares a membership to Heraldry Australia Inc., Sydney, with the Master of Ceremonies, George C Poulos (O Hihlis). He recently matriculated Arms from the College of Heralds, Scotland, an achievement for which he is justifiably proud, and on which we congratulate him.

This happened at that greatest of Kytherian-Brisbane events which was held on Sunday the 15th April, 2007, from 11:30 - 5:00pm.

The event was held for 3 reasons:
1. to mark the official Queensland launch of www.kythera-family.net
2. to mark the official Queensland launch of Katsehamos and the Great Idea
3. to forge a new and inviolable union between the Kytherian Association of Queensland Inc, and the Kytherian Association of Australia, (ostensibly the Kytherian Association of NSW).

The occasion became known as the Brisbane panayiri and mega-event.

Ultimately, demand for seats was so high, that the event had to be moved from Kapsali Restaurant to the Cyprus Club.

Attendance was c. 500
