Theothori Koukoulis, the Mayor of Kythera, was accompanied to Astor Base Metals, by Kytherian Association committee men, Michael Mallos and George Poulos.
Con Gavriles, along with Andy Coombis and his family, and Con Poulos (Poulos Brothers, Fish Wholesalers), and with assistance from the Nicholas Anthony Aroney Trust - contributed towards the cost of restoring the Logothetianika bell and clock tower (καμπαναριό, πύργος του ρολογιού), which had been inoperative for 17 years.
