My mother arrived in Australia in April 1956 and went to live at the home of George and Koula Carydis in Auburn. She shared a bedroom without another young girl, Anna Veneris. In June 1956, Anna married Theo Kepreotes were my mother was a bridesmaid. At this wedding, my mother met my father Stephen Zantiotis and they were married in November 1956.
