Cafe of Archie Kapsanis, Warren, NSW, 2005.
Archie owned and operated this cafe in Warren, in central western New South Wales for many decades.
Archie died in 2004.
Note that the ubiquitous Peters and Co sign - which was on numerous Kytherian cafes throughout NSW - is still extant on the front of the building. The date the building was completed is also extant - 1935.
If the walls in the building could talk, they would have three quarters of a century of Kytherian stories to tell.
This is how I found the cafe in 2005. Still being operated as a cafe, but on a smaller scale.
Due to the establishment of large-scale cotton growing facilities - Warren has advanced considerably as a town since I lived in Gilgandra - 60 miles away - during the 1950's and 1960's.
Its population has grown to 2,900 people.
