Kythera and the Gerokomio
Tom Coroneos, a fellow Kytherian and world traveler from Oakland, California, spent two months on the island of Kythera in 2001. During the month of September, he rented an apartment across the street from the gerokomio (old folks home) in Potamos. Each morning, he would walk across the street with his boom box and play CDs for the old folks. Little by little they became great friends and companions. Tom was especially received by a white haired gentleman named Nikos Bernardos.
On the links to these webpages are video clips from the times he spent with the people from the gerokomio.
