Harry Aliferis, holding a box of choclates, to be used as a means of raising funds for the Greek War Relief Fund. Musselbrook, NSW, Greek Day, 1941. Harry was working for Kytherian, Manoli Kriticos, in Musselbrook at the time. Harry later established a large butcher's shop in Bondi Junction, and began to import Greek movies to Australia, through his company ... Hellenic Talkies Coy Australasia, from 1951 - 1955. This photograph is in fact a Kodak Postcard - perhaps another means of fund-raising? The importance of the War Relief Funds has been well documented by Peter Tsicalas in an entry entitled Australian Greek Day, 1941, in, History, subsection Old Letters, and is referred to in another Tsicalas entry, Crethars Cafe, Lismore, 1935, in Photography Diaspora, subsection, Cafes, Shops & Cinemas.
