Back in the 1980s, George Kastrisios - better known as Tarzan - was perhaps the most charasmatic taxi driver the island had and will perhaps ever have. There is a story about him in the "stories" section of this website.

I remember this man driving us to our home after we had arrived from athens on the ferry.A very nostalgic photo.It brings tears to my eyes,he was a lovely man.I always wondered as a little girl why they called him tarzan.
