Aroney from innisfail area and Townsvile/Charters Towers

Would there be anyone out there with information of the family Aroney who came from the Innisfail area?
My grandfather Theodore Boyde Aroney came from this area and his father owned a shop. When WW2 Started my grandfather joined the army, while his mother (May Aroney)seperated from her husband and took the children out to Charters Towers. My grandfather sent his pay back to his mother to feed his sisters and brothers.

What i would like to know is the name of my grandfathers father, as granddad never spoke of him.A history of the family would be interesting also.

My name is Nanette Franks. My mother, Joy, was your grandfather's younger sister. They were close in age. I have come across a little information on my grandfather Stamatios Hector Aroney. He was a gambler and worse than that. I am happy for you to contact me on my email address [email protected] I live in Bulli near Wollongong NSW. Was your grandmother's name Mona and is she still alive. I have some photos of your grandfather and don't know whether you would have copies of them or not. I knew him as Boy. His brother and sister are still alive.

Sorry Nanette,
I have been busy with everything in regards to family in the last 12 months. My nana is Mona and with sad news she is been admitted into hospital with early signs of dementia. I would love to get copies of all the information on the Aroney's including photo's etc as we don't have anything on that side. I currently live near Echuca in Victoria, and my mother (Boyd’s daughter) Colleen lives in Rochester Victoria. O ne of Boyd's daughter's took alot of the photos and have not seen since.
