Embroidery/Needlework

My grandfather was born in Kythera and I am very keen to know about needlework, including knotting, which was/is done in Kythera. In particular, I would like to know if there is a special type of needlework which originated there or is identified with Kythera.I would like to contact anyone who still does this needlework.
