The mosaic iconography of Transfiguration Church in Lowell began in 1963. Twenty three years later, in 1986, it was decided to cover the remaining walls of the church with mosaic icons. The mosaic iconographer from the beginning was Robert J. Andrews. The project was completed in 1993.
