THE TURBULENT HISTORY OF THE IONIAN ISLANDS

Effie will give us facts based on Lord Michael Pratt’s book, published 1978,
“Britain’s Greek Empire”, from the Venetian rule and ending with the British
rule, plus stories from the island people now living in Australia.

Announcement of Scholarship
The Peter Spathis Foundation has announced the establishment of the Peter Spathis
Foundation Scholarship. The inaugural Scholarship will be granted for full time tertiary
study commencing in 2012 and is open to all year 12 students of Greek descent who
propose to undertake any recognised University Course in 2012. Scholarship Application
