The passing of Evangelina

Hello all, I would like to inform people of the passing of my mother, Evangelina Combes. On her passport from 1947, it stated her name as Evangalia, maiden name Gregi. At some point early on in her life in Australia her christian name changed to Evangelina. She passed away at St George Hospital, Sydney on 4th January, 2008, aged 90 years. She came from the village of Logothatanika, as did my grandmother Irene. She lived in Australia for 60 years and never returned to Kythera but her heart was always there as she recalled vivid memories of her childhood and as a young woman. Her legacy, like all Kytherians who travelled to distance lands so many years ago will remain with their descendents. For my mother, her memory will remain with her grandchildren and great grandchild
