Trifillis/Treefull/Treeful/Psomas Family

Here is some newly found info on my Trifillis family, found through immigration records and passport applications online.

If anyone has any information please contact me.

A Emmanuel Trifillis, married possibly an Eleni (her maiden name was possibly Koroneos), and had Ioannis (my ancestor, around 1845) and Panayotis.

Panayotis Emmanuel Trifillis died before 1923, probably in Kythera or Smyrna. He married a Theofani (b. abt 1860 in Nouzakion or Mouzakion Asia Minor, died after 1923). They had:

1. Sergios Panayotis Trifillis
b. 27 Nov 1883 Kythera. He married Erifili (b. abt 1894 Greece). Unknown if had children or where lived after 1922.

Trifylis (crossed out with Treefull written next to it), Stergios- age 31/ single/ merchant/ able to read and write/ US Citizen/ Greek/ last residence- Smyrna, Turkey/ nearest relative- his father Panagiotin in Fassoula, Smyrna, Turkey/ destination- NY, NY/ passage paid by himself, had $50/ had been in US before in Boston from 1900-1909/ going to see his friend Fotios Lazos at 205 E. 31st St. New York/ born Smyrna, Turkey/ also written is that he was naturalized in the District Court in Bristol Fall River, Mass. on September 18, 1906.

Stergios Trefelles- age 22/ single/ laborer/ nationality- Turkey/ last residence- Smyrna, Turkey/ going to Boston, MA/ had no ticket, passage paid by himself, had $36 (or 38)/ never in US before/ going to see his cousin Panagiotis Trefelles at 31 Burrough’s Place, Boston, MA


2. Tassos Panayotis Trifillis/Treefull b. 15 Sep 1891 Potamos, Kythera, or Smyrna. Unknown what happened to him or if he married, had children

11 Jun 1911 from Piraeys on the “Athinai”. Here is his immigration record-
Triffylis, Tassos- age 21/ workman/ Greek/ last residence- Smyrna, Turkey/ nearest relative-father Panayioti Trifili in Smyrna, Turkey/ going to Fall River, MA/ had $30 with him/ going to see cousin Panayioti Trifillis at 175-206 Nubbery St, Fall River, MA/ height 5’ 6”/ born in Smyrna, Turkey

Here is Tassos’ WWI Draft registration card-
Tassos Treeful- Age 25/ lives at 85 Grant Street fall River, MA/ born on 15 Sept 1891/ is a naturalized citizen/ born in Potamos, Kythera, Greece/ is an ice cream peddler/ employed by himself in Fall River/ nearest relative- mother/ is single and caucasian/height medium/ brown eyes/ black hair/ taken place at Fall River, MA on 5 Jun 1917 by John Chainley

3. Marouli Trifillis (b. late 1800s). She married Antonios Psomas and had a daugher Fani. Unknown who Fani married but she had three daughters Kaiti, Tatiana and Danae.
Notes from my great-uncle-
notes of Uncle George Rigos- The first cousin of Efrosyne, Marouli daughter of the wife of Peter (not Panayiotis but Petros) was married to Antonios Psomas. He was working for ESSO Pappas, a Greek subsidiary of EXXON. I met Marouli in Athens in 1952 when Fofo came so we get married, and she had a daughter by the name Fani. They lived in Nea Smyrna. Fani had three daughters, Kaiti, Tatiana, and Danae. Kaiti was the best lady in our wedding.
