Dear Friends of Kythera,

I am writing this newsletter from a sheltered cafe balcony in Platia Ammos, the quiet beach and port at the northern tip of Kythera. Clouds swirl over the rest of the island – as if favoured by the gods only Agia Pelagia and Platia Ammos are spared from the raucous weather, the clouds dissipating as soon as they pass the heights of the island. Dear Friends of Kythera,

Many thanks go to John Huxley for permission to display in its entirety his 1997 Sydney Morning Herald feature-article in the "Written About Us" category on the site. Also new are 10 fascinating religious icons with pictures taken of them before and after their restor-ation. They can be found under “Photo-graphy” until we can arrange a new “Icon” category for them. Our Tourist Infor-mation section has finally been baptised and already 40 hotels and ...

Still Growing

Dear Friends of Kythera,
The first stage of setting up the website is complete, and with over 250 entries already on the site we are now preparing to move forward to the next stage by employing some casual persons in collecting and preparing all the infor-mation still out there in public and private colletions. Dear Friends of Kythera,

The website has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception 2 months ago. There are now over 190 entries making it a great resource for all things Kytherian. We are still working on the family tree section, and hope to announce its completion soon, even though it is, despite having top-flight programmers, a huge project in itself.
