The Governor of Queensland, Ms Quentin Bryce, AC meets Peter Samios & Nick Careedy.
Peter Samios is the President of the Kytherian Association of Queensland Inc., and Nick Careedy was one of two 94 year olds at the function, along with Mr Peter Prineas (Snr). Nick & Peter Prineas were the two oldest male Kytherians at the big panayiri.
On the left, the Governor's husband, Mr Michael Bryce, AM, looks on approvingly.
On the far right in distinctive white uniform is the Governor's Aide-de-Camp, Lieutenant Commander Mathew Rowe, RANR.
In the background he is conducting a conversation with the very dynamic Kytherian Mayor of Gladstone, Mr Peter Corones. The subject of the conversation is the fact that just one week ago they were standing on a boat together in Gladstone, preparing to set a fleet of boats off on a major Gladstone boat race.
Peter's beautiful & delightful wife...........listens to the repartee in the centre background.
