The inscription reads - "In readiness before proceeding" (to ride off).

In the original, each of the persons in the photograph have been numbered.

The photograph was taken in Manilla, on June 27(?)th, as per the photograph depicting the same five riders resting.

The Postcard has been written in Greek.
