Senior Bingara resident Joan Bull visits restored Peters and Co. Cafe
Mrs Joan Bull and her daughters at the preview of Bingara's restored "Roxy" Cafe on 3 December 2010. Mrs Bull remembers the original cafe and was part of the big crowd that saw 'Roberta' the opening feature at the Roxy Theatre in 1936.
Bingara's Roxy complex was built by three men from Kythera, Emanuel Aroney, Peter Feros and George Psaltis. The story is told in the book "Katsehamos and the Great Idea" by Peter Prineas.
