This is the plaque on the monument of the place of tears, joy and sorrow. This monument is found just outside Potamos on the road to Agia Pelagia. It was erected in 1908 to commemorate the place where family and friends farewelled those leaving to seek their fortunes abroad

Kythera was known from ancient times for its tasy figs. These were collected from the tree early in the morning, at Mitata. Area Ambelaki. Please take One!!!!!!!
