sunday 15th april 2007, queensland launch of kythra -family.net was a great success, over 500 people attended, with great speeches, good food, dancing, well done all concerned.
kay levonis from toowoomba and potamos kythera ,with what could be the only african american kytherian greek australian family in the world,attendng the kythera family launch.
the governor quentin byrce and jim raptis the greek consulate of queensland arrive for the launch.

brisbanites get in the spirit of the kythera family launch bringing their kytherian artefacts for display; we had everything from old icons,rocks from the beaches, pots of all sizes, and someone even bought some thymme gorwing in a pot, [from kythera of course!!]
large amounts of brisbane and and other parts of queensland kytherians arrive for qld. launch, the numbers were so large that a change of venue was required. a great success.

Deanna McCarthy (nee Psaros/Phacheas) walked across the Sydney Harbour with three generations of her family - husband Peter McCarthy, daughter Sophia Azara and husband Marc Azara , and grand daughters Mattea, Fabia and Lilian. After liturgy today at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, in Santa Barbara, California the priest announced two visitors, Mr. & Mrs. Nicholas Samios, from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. With a name like that, I knew they must be Kytherians! It was a pleasure to meet Nicholas and his lovely wife Carole. Nicholas is the son of Anastasios Samios, from Aloizianika. Carole is an honorary Kytherian. We snapped a hurried cell phone photo (not the best quality) to record the event for posterity!
